Spring! (just around the corner)

Yesterday felt like summer, and I could nothing but smile when I figured it was warmer outside then inside. We spent the whole day out in the sun, strolling, taking photographs, and ended up in an outdoor restaurant. I'm giving Luis private lessons in photography, and by that I'm forced to think about the basic photographer things all over again. Usefull for both :)

Along one of my regular running routes, the view is sometimes better towards the sky...

The photographer found a cute little cottage to put the model she had on hand into. Always such nice lights through windows...

Anything you want to know about The Anglican Church?

Ask me!

I've just delivered a text about the worlds third largest christian tradition, and you know, it's actually quite interesting.

Did you know that The Anglican Church became it's own church, beacuse king Henrik VIII in 1534, broke with the Catholic Church because the Pope would not give him permission to divorce his wife in favor of his mistress?

Well, we can also thank Queen Elisabeth I, because she was the one who opened for different views, and let The Anglican Church become the via media; the church between Protestantism and Catholicism.

Anyways, The Anglican Church seems to be a quite diverse, open and including church. Welcome on their behalf! :)

This is the archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams. The spiritual leader of all the almost 80 millions members of The Anglican Church.

VIC

Hola Vic!

After spending a good week in Norway, I've figured I'm a fan of being in Spain, with Luis. Home is not too far anyways. Vic is cute, so is our flat.

I've started spanish classes, and the first thing we learned was the word for egg; huevo, which gave me and Luis something to laugh about when I came back home. There were no presentation or anything, the teacher just started to wave a picture of an egg in front of us "huevo, los huevos". I figured in the next class, that the others in the group are Erasmus students and met the week before, therefor no presentation. Haha... well well, it was a start.

Luis is doing a course in mountain guiding, so we have become course fanatics. When we're not on any course, we're trying to work and study some. Days are what we make them, and I like the charming ambience and peoples behavior so far. Wine together with lunch is normal ;)

Yesterday we went to this little market which find place here this weekend. Lots of good tastings, and we ended up with some good cheese, cured meats, wine and an amazing cupcake.

And this is our home, feel welcome to visit whenever! :)

Monkeys and kicks

Today I felt that I really understood the phrase "to have the monkey", as Luis so nicely has explained to me. To have the monkey is when you feel the need to do something for a particular reason, rush or whatever. You are up for a kick, and when you achieve that kick, you just want more...

I see myself as a person who likes my feet steady on the ground, or steady at least. Heights are not my thing, even though I try to push it a little from time to time. Today I felt the monkey to push it a little more, and I did. First of all I learned how to secure Luis when he was doing his things up in that wall, which was a good achievement it self. BUT I managed to do a whole route myself. A "number five" in the climbers world, which is not the simplest after what I've heard. I have to admit I tried a number 4+ at first, where I didn't manage to do the very top. But the second time, in a nr.5 route, I felt the monkey coming sneaking into me saying "you can do this girl", and I am now proud as can be to be able to tell you that I did.

I have the monkey, maybe not in this very hour, but I wanna do this more! ;) Siurana mountains are amazing by the way, breathtaking beautiful, and it has sooo many climbing routes, hiking tracks and such good views.

Spanish soap

I'm quite happy internet exists! While I'm doing my studies through the net, I can listen to NRK and laugh to "Radioresepsjonens" funny comments about things back home in my motherland, and chat with those I fancy at the same time. HAH! It's amazing and fab'! It's especially cute to have that opportunity when Luis is at work, and the spanish soaps on TV gets a little bit tiring ;)

To not let it seem like I'm locking myself inside all the day with TV and internet, I also have to say that running around here is awesome! The temperature is niiiice, and there's good "dirt roads" to follow, so my clever Endomondo app tells me I'm running around 10-12 km each time. Good for body and conscience! ;)

On tuesday we went to Vic again, and a very cute apartment became ours for some months, so this weekend we'll move. And it made me so excited to hear that we'll have visitors from Norway in april allready. Big sis and aunties kids; you're soooo welcome to come sleep in our princess pink guest room! :D

On tuesday we didn't only do a good deal on a new apartment. Luis felt the pressure to buy an Canon SLR now when his with me ;) and I got a good deal on the wide-angle lens I've been looking at for a while. New gadgets had to be tried out :D

Home sweet home... in Spain! :-)

Hola amigos and amigas!

I have big plans again, about this little blog. Now that I've moved to a whole'nother contry. It's gonna be nice to use it as a space to let you know what I'm doing here from time to time, so we don't loose too much connection. YEPPA!

Till now life as a spanish señorita has been very good. Luis is an awesome guy and I really enjoy being around him, and to have he around me. Spain is also treating me good, except of that we can't communicate too much yet. I'm trying to learn some spanish phrases everyday, but I look forward to start on a course in the middle of february. It's gonna be easier to take it step by step as I should.

This is the backyard roof from our apartment in Alcover. Those two dogs over there, are very happy to bark a lot, to make sure we wake up in the morning.

View over Alcover from the livingroom.

Me and Luis has decided that we're gonna move to a little city called Vic for three-four months to start with. He is gonna do a mountain guiding course, and I'm gonna do my spanish course at the university. Vic is not too far from either Barcelona or the Pyrenees, but we feel like we would like to live closer to the sea when spring/summer comes. We'll see how well we feel in Vic. Today we think we've fixed an apartment, which is looking very nice, so we're quite happy about that :)

Yesterday we went up in the mountains, for climbing. Or, the guys climbed, I was sitting down trying to look pretty. Haha, well well... it was nice anyways, and that place, Siurana; oh my gosh it's beautiful!

Hasta luego, I'll try to study some now :)

A quite handsome securer ;)

David, Roger and Luis are happy and satisfied after hours of good climbing in the sunshine

Luis in the wall, the place he enjoy the most to be.
